SENATOR POOCHIGIAN EARNS NOD FROM CALIFORNIA REPUBLICAN LAWYERS: INCREASES MOMENTUM FOR THE 2006 ATTORNEY GENERAL RACE
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- November 21, 2005
The California Republican Lawyers Association (CRLA) is proud to announce the endorsement of Senator Chuck Poochigian for the Office of the Attorney General in 2006. CRLA joined former Governor and Attorney General George Deukmejian, Governor Pete Wilson, and every Republican state legislator in supporting Senator Poochigian, a proven leader in public safety. The unanimous endorsement continued the momentum of the Senator's lead in his bid for the Republican nomination in the June 2006 primary.
The CRLA endorsement committee met with both candidates to rate their qualifications for the office of the Attorney General. The unanimous decision came after an extensive interviewing process that reviewed each candidate's qualifications to hold the office, track record on critical legal issues and vision for public safety.
"Chuck won hands down in each of these categories. Besides being a leader on so many public safety issues such as Three Strikes, No on Proposition 66, and worker's compensation insurance fraud, he has proven his commitment to succeed through his tireless fundraising efforts," stated CRLA Chairman Steve Baric. "Chuck has diligently served the people of California and championed victims' rights for decades and we are confident he will win the June primary and go on to defeat the Democrat in November."
"I am humbled and honored by the endorsement of CRLA. CRLA is the only attorneys organization recognized by the California Republican Party and their membership constitutes some of the finest attorneys in the state," remarked Senator Poochigian. "I am impressed by their ballot integrity program that ensures fairness for all candidates on Election Day and am excited my campaign will be supported by such a strong network of professionals." |
