Steven Baric is the Chairman of the California Republican Lawyers Association and serves on the Executive Committee of the California Republican Party. Under his leadership, the CRLA has become the leading Republican voice in California regarding judicial appointments and ensuring fair elections. Mr. Baric has been quoted in almost every major newspaper in California regarding the issue of judicial appointments.
Mr. Baric has several years of experience in Election Law and Election Day operations. He has trained lawyers and poll watchers in Election Law since 2000. Mr. Baric has been a featured speaker at Election Law/Election Day Operations seminars for both the California Republican Party and the Republican National Lawyers Association. In 2004, he served as the chairman of Lawyers for Bush/Cheney in Orange County.
Mr. Baric is a seasoned trial attorney, having tried over 100 cases including 25 serious Felonies. As a former Orange County Gang Prosecutor, Mr. Baric prosecuted the toughest hard core criminal street gangs as a member of the elite T.A.R.G.E.T. gang task force. In 2005, he was honored with the prestigious “Diligent Prosecutor” award by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his aggressive prosecution of a drunk driver that killed a woman while she was walking with her walking club.
Mr. Baric attended McGeorge School of Law (J.D., 1998) where he was a member of the Deans List Honor Roll and a member of the Moot Court Honors Board.
Mr. Baric is currently in civil practice and lives with this wife Melissa in Orange County. They are expecting their first child in December.
